Key competency courses "Project Management" and "Generative AI for Students" in semester break 2025

The chair ISS is offering two courses on the key competencies "Project Management" and "Generative AI for Students" in the late summer semester 2025.

The key competency of project management takes place on September 11 and 17 (9:30 - 17:00). Project management is one of the most important skills for career starters – around 90% of HR decision-makers expect corresponding knowledge. Especially for business and economics graduates, attractive entry opportunities arise, particularly in the context of IT and AI projects. As part of this key competence, theoretical foundations are linked with practical, real-world examples. The event combines knowledge transfer with active participation and hands-on tasks in a workshop format.

The key competency of generative AI for students on September 18 and October 1st (09:30 - 17:00) connects theoretical foundations of AI with practical hands-on examples. The goal is to empower students to use AI tools effectively, critically, and responsibly, enabling them to navigate the evolving technological landscape and integrate these technologies into their academic work, while maintaining ethical standards.

Both courses consist of a workload of 2 SWS (3 ECTS, ungraded), with assessments based on presentations, written reports, and attendance. All students who get accepted for one of the key competencies should bring their laptop or tablet.
