Business informatics in the service sector is characterised by the use of information technologies in an increasingly complex service environment. The IFM course teaches the fundamentals of IT management. Topics such as IT controlling, enterprise architectures, system architectures with mobile and cloud computing as well as data modeling are covered using practical examples.
In addition to the lecture, students work on cross-semester group projects, which are graded and count for 20% of the final grade. These projects are always related to the material of the last lecture and should serve the students to deepen and apply the lecture content.
Exam: The course includes a module examination consisting of the written examination (120 minutes) and the assessment of the cross-semester group project work. The module grade is composed as follows: 80% written exam, 20% cross-semester project work. Registration for the exam is done via VIPA.
