The 35th German Conference on Artificial Intelligence KI 2012 takes place in Saarbrücken from 24th-27th September. Wolfgang Maass is the leader of the "Reasoning & Machine Learning" session. Furthermore, he guides the tutorials as tutorial chair. On 24th September, he presented a tutorial together with Sabine Janzen on the subject of "Designing Ambient Intelligence Environments".

Dr. Eva Yi-Yuan Yueh from Taiwan visited the ISS Chair for two days. She works as Deputy Director General at the "Innovative Digitech-Enabled Applications & Services Institute" (IDEAS) in Taipei. The IDEAS is part of the "Institute for Information Industry" in Taiwan.

The Research Center for Intelligent Media (RCIM) presented itself on this year's business networking forum of Furtwangen University with a modern Science Marketing concept. The visitors were individually welcomed by an interactive media installation. The used software processed the video feed of a camera to detect the visitors' faces and addressed each person directly.
